About:
The Wholistic Doula Fellowship is a Specialized Doula Program for trained doulas. Fellows accepted into the program will receive support in completing their certification, doula skills development training, an internship with a local DMV doula agency, and a scholarship to Birthlogia Doula School.
Paid Internship:
Fellows will join the Momease team as a student doula. Student doulas work with their own clients under the guidance and mentorship of an experienced doula. Student doulas are paid at the student doula rate.
Enrollment in Doula School:
Birthlogia Doula School provides you with supplemental professional development to build your own Doula business.
What You Will Gain:

Application Process and Timeline
Take your time and try not to think too hard as you move through the application process. The process is intended to help us get to know you better and give us a chance to see your personality, passion, and commitment to the maternal and infant health field. We are not looking for perfection, but looking for realness and authenticity.
You do not have to get overly technical with your video, just make sure that we can see and hear you clearly. Choose a background that is free of clutter and distractions. Please also be sure to answer all questions fully.
There are 2 phases to the application process. The first phase includes a written and video submission. This second phase, if selected to move forward, includes a virtual interview with the fellowship selection committee.
Video Submission with Written Application
To apply, you will:
- Submit a written application form
- Upload a video (no more than 5 minutes)
In your written application you will:
- Answer background questions
- Tell us why you chose to become a doula
- Explain why you want to be a part of this fellowship program
- Describe obstacles or barriers you face in completing your certification
In your video you will:
- Introduce yourself (your name, and city/state you live in)
- Describe the ‘history of you’ (talk about the work you did before you decided to become a doula, your educational background, and other things you would like to share that led you to where you are today)
- Explain why you think doula work is important
- Explain how you plan to make a difference in maternal and infant health
Interviews:
In the second phase of our application process, we will interview selected applicants to gain deeper insights into your personality, work ethic, and motivation for doula work. By late February, applicants will be informed if they have been chosen for an interview with the selection committee, along with detailed instructions on what to expect moving forward. Interviews are not meant to be intimidating, so please be yourself. You will know the questions we will ask beforehand so you have a chance to practice your responses.
